Sheryl Tan

Sheryl Tan is a Barrister of England & Wales, an Advocate & Solicitor of Malaysia, and an Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore. Dualqualified to practice in both Malaysia and Singapore, she is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Malaysia, which enables her to serve a diverse clientele and handle cross-border matters effectively.

Sheryl has over 15 years of extensive legal experience in conveyancing, corporate law, and banking. Her strong background in both private practice and in-house roles at multinational corporations equips her with the expertise to navigate complex legal landscapes effectively.

Her professional career commenced at Shook Lin & Bok, one of the leading law firms in Malaysia, known for its expertise in banking, corporate law, and conveyancing matters. In 2010, Sheryl joined Drew & Napier LLC, one of Singapore’s largest law firms, specializing in corporate law, M&A, and dispute resolution. At Drew & Napier, Sheryl focused on M&As, general corporate matters, and commercial transactions, providing invaluable guidance to both local and international clients.

Building on her extensive experience, Sheryl transitioned to an in-house role as Senior Legal Counsel with UIC Limited, a publicly listed real estate developer in Singapore. In this capacity, she managed a broad range of legal responsibilities, including property development, investment strategies, compliance with Singapore Stock Exchange regulations, corporate secretarial duties, and tenancy transactions in both Singapore and China.
